Let me tell you about the way I decided to transform my career. LITERALLY.

I am a fresh Interior Designer in my very beginnings of starting my journey. I don’t have the support of connections to get me to where my goal is, nor do I have the knowledge of promoting myself regionally. As any other fresh graduate, my first go-to is getting employed for the sake of experience and what so; since my goal requires having my own name out there. Guess what? Well that didn’t go well for me. I never expected to go through so much trouble finding a job and getting employed in a decent company, I didn’t get lucky. So I started thinking about freelancing, you know, starting somewhere right? Actually that might have been the start that I have always needed. Turns out I didn’t have to work in a company in order to reach my goal, like that wasn’t the only way I should start building my career. And it really is less stressful working solo. No bossing around and I’m working on my own pace, getting all the credit and ALL THE MONEY. But I was facing a problem with marketing for myself and name. And I wasn’t planning on going through the hassle of paying people to basically tell other people about me. The whole idea wasn’t making sense to me. If i’m reaching to market for myself, I’m the best candidate for this job as i know myself best therefore, I can market for myself better. Am i right or AM I RIGHT! I mean it’s a no brainer since I am just starting my career. On that account, I decided to enroll for a Digital Marketing Nanodegree Program in Udacity. Of course there were many options for which platform to go for. My best option was Udacity since they provide real projects to work on, personal mentoring, plus the lectures are short and strictly to the point, also they’re pretty fun actually. Not your classic boring class. SHOCKER. Not to mention that it’s all project based. Yup, say goodbye to quizzes and examinations. Just do the work and you’re done! I’ve been loving my experience so far and I think this works best with my situation; it’s exactly what I need as a startup for my small business and if you’re like me, I think it’s for you too!
